Jayda Williams

Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Jayda discovered her passion for volleyball at 13 years old and never looked back. She lettered in high school and played competitive club volleyball throughout middle and high school, primarily specializing as a Libero/Defensive specialist. She loved the fast pace and the strategy behind the back row, and that passion fueled her dedication to the game.

In high school, a season-ending injury from soccer shifted her path and led her to focus on academics as she entered college. While Jayda stepped away from competitive play, her love for volleyball remained strong. She now plays recreationally and has turned her focus to coaching, a role that allows her to share her knowledge, energy, and experience with the next generation of athletes.

She is currently a Chemistry Pre-Med major at Texas Southern University, where she plans to graduate in the Spring of 2026. This is Jayda’s third year coaching, and over time she’s developed a coaching style that blends competitive intensity with a deep commitment to team culture and personal growth. She believes in pushing athletes to be the best version of themselves on and off the court, while also creating a space where they feel supported, motivated, and empowered.

Jayda’s leadership, game knowledge, and passion for volleyball show in every practice and match. As a coach, she’s here not just to build strong players, but strong teammates and even stronger people.
