Ayana Robinson
Originally from Houston, Texas, Coach Ayana has been passionate about the game of volleyball since the age of 14. Her journey began as a competitive player, which eventually led to a collegiate volleyball scholarship at Dillard University. Although her playing career was cut short due to a season-ending knee injury, her dedication to the sport never wavered.
Following her injury, she shifted her focus toward academics, earning her Bachelor's degree in Human Resources from Lamar University and later obtaining her Master’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Houston–Downtown.
Coach Ayana has been coaching for the past five years, bringing energy, knowledge, and mentorship to every athlete she works with. Her coaching career began at Fort Bend Christian Academy, where she helped lead the team to a TAPPS 5A State Championship title. She then spent the last four seasons coaching with Houston Skyline, where she played a pivotal role in the program's success, including numerous tournament wins.
Most recently, her 13s teams have claimed top honors at prestigious events:
• 2024 Lone Star Classic – 13 Select Champions
• 2024 Lone Star Regionals – 13 Elite Champions
Coach Ayana is passionate about developing not just skilled athletes, but confident, resilient individuals both on and off the court. Her experience as both a player and a coach brings a well-rounded and empathetic perspective to her coaching style.
