Kortlyn is a Houston native with over a decade of competitive playing experience and a deep passion for the game. After 10 years as a dedicated athlete, she is now focused on sharing that knowledge and enthusiasm with the next generation of players.

As a former athlete, Kortlyn developed a strong foundation in volleyball, excelling in key areas like technique, strategy, and teamwork. She played at Houston Juniors during her club years and played 4 years on Varsity in high school. Throughout her playing career, she was known for playing middle and being a pin hitter. Her strong leadership skills were developed through sports and now brings that same energy and insight into coaching. Kortlyn was a multi sport athlete growing up and played lacrosse at Southwestern University. Being a multi sport athlete helped develop strategies, confidence, and great communication. 

Kortlyn brings a broad perspective, high-level understanding of the game, and a player-first mindset. She believes in building confidence, emphasizing fundamentals, and creating a positive, hard-working team culture.
